Batikrom to organise Syed Mohidul Islam Smaran Utsab 2021

Theatre troupe Batikrom Nattya Gosty will lift the curtain on a week-long theatre festival titled Syed Mohidul Islam Smaran Utsab-2021 on November 5, said a press release.

The festival will begin with the staging of Theatre Art Unit’s theatre production Court Martial at the National Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy at 6:00pm.

Batikrom Nattya Gosty will stage theatre production Pakhi on November 7. Besides, the festival will feature Natyachakra’s play Eka Ek Nari on November 6, Sanglap Group Theatre’s Bodh on November 8, Shabda Natyacharcha Kendra’s Champabati on 9, Nandimukh’s Tabuo Manush on November 10, Prangonemor’s Condemn Cell on November 11, Lok Natyadal’s Sonai Madhab on November 12 at the Experimental Theatre Hall of Bagladesh Shilpakala Academy.

Batikrom Nattya Gosty will honour renowned theatre personality Tariq Anam Khan with Syed Mohidul Islam Padak.

The theatre troupe will also honour Alok Basu, Selim Mahbub, Sahadat Hossain Nipu, Tanvin Sweety and Ahmed Gias with Manchabandhu Award.

Besides, the troupe will honour the couples Munir Helal and Sabira Sultana Bina, Omar Sunny and Mousumi, Mohammad Jasim Uddin and Enamtara Saki and Bakar Bakul and Runa Kanchan with Jugal Award.

The festival will end on November 12.
